Chongqing International Investment Explores Investment Opportunities In Sarawak

28.08.2017--Chongqing International Investment Consultation Group Co Ltd from China and local company Solid Sunland Sdn Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the opportunities in future development projects in Sarawak.

The MoU was signed by Chongqing International Investment Consultation Group Co Ltd vice-president Zhou Qingrong and Solid Sunland Sdn Bhd managing director Dato Hii King Chiong. Witnessing the MoU signing were Chief Minister of Sarawak Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg and the Consul-General of the Republic of China Fu Jijun.

Zhou told reporters after the signing ceremony that apart from the MoU signing, the main purpose of their visit was to promote mutual understanding and conduct surveys in Sarawak.

In addition to infrastructure development projects, the Chinese company also indicated its interest in cooperation in the fields of tourism and agriculture.

He explained that many foreign companies were mainly involved in construction works in Sarawak and their company would aim to provide comprehensive services covering consultancy, investment, construction, management and operation services.

Apart from Kuching, the Chinese company will also explore potential development cooperation in major cities including Miri and Sibu and carry out development projects via public private partnership (PPP).

Chongqing International Investment Consultation Group Co Ltd is a renowned investment company in China that provides comprehensive services and engages in many PPP projects both locally and abroad.
