Hii King Chiong Wants Lee Kim Shin To Enlighten Him If It Is Wrong Of Him Serving The People

18.07.2015--If it is wrong of me serving the people, I hope Assistant Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin can selflessly enlighten me. Please teach me how to do it and I will humbly learn from YB Datuk Lee as a role model.”

Majulah Miri founder Dato Hii King Chiong expressed his disappointment over the accusation that Majulah Miri and United People’s Party (UPP) were ‘stealing the limelight’ in handling livelihood issues of the people.

Also United People’s Party (UPP) Piasau chairman, Hii responded to the earlier criticism by Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Senadin chairman Datuk Lee Kim Shin when being asked by members of the press during Hari Raya visiting together with UPP members.

He said that one should serve the people regardless of location and all parties under the Barisan Nasional (BN) flagship should help and care for one another instead of making criticisms and false accusations against others.

“If I, Hii King Chiong, have done anything wrong, not only elected representatives or ministers but even members of the public can come forward and question me.”

Hii pointed out that the objective and purpose of Majulah Miri is simple and clear, which is to ease and solve the problems of the people. The service centre welcomes any suggestion or idea so long as it is constructive.

He emphasised that Majulah Miri and UPP would never fabricate rumours and they had merely responded to those in need but somehow unjustly accused of ‘stealing the limelight’.

Hii said it was indisputable fact that the roadside near Curtin University Sarawak was full of scattered rubbish which produced terrible smell, of which the people sought help from Majulah Miri. He hoped YB Datuk Lee would not be overly sensitive on the issue.
