SK Sayed Othman Hopes Hii King Chiong Will Help Upgrade Infrastructure

14.09.2015--Majulah Miri founder Dato Hii King Chiong, together with service team members, today made  an inspection visit on the construction works at SK Sayed Othman.

Hii recently sponsored three air conditioners and five lorries of gravel to SK Sayed Othman. He also helped to repair the school’s car park compound and pathways. The school’s parent-teacher association (PTA) today also requested Hii to help construct a rain shelter for the school’s sepak takraw court.

Hii explained to the PTA chairman that the construction of a rain shelter will need approval from Public Works Department (JKR) as the school is a government primary school. Hii promised to help paint the lines of the sepak takraw court. He also suggested that the application documents for the construction of rain shelter be handed over to Majulah Miri and he will try his best to seek approval from the relevant authority.

The school made many requests to the authorities concerned but did not receive any feedback. Hence, they had brought up the issue to Majulah Miri for help. Majulah Miri is a non-profit organisation founded to take care of the people’s needs and help solve their problems which are neglected by elected representatives.
