Highly Appreciation

27.12.12 - Miri City Council (MCC) Mayor Cr Lawrence Lai and RTM Miri Head of Broadcasting Programme/Broadcasting Journalist, En. Petrus Abai today expressed their gratitude to Mr Hii King Chiong for his generous supports. Mr Hii is the main sponsor of the "Jom Makan 1Malaysia" event and the Singing Talent Contest which will be held soon.

"As the co - organiser, I wish to say my sincere appreciation to Mr Hii on his undividen support as the main sponsor for the two important events especially the "Jom Makan 1Malaysia", which as we all knows it needs a large expenses. His willingness to be the main sponsor for the two events will enable us to run the events smoothly", expressed Cr Lawrence and later followed with same words of appreciation from En.Petrus on behalf of RTM Miri.

The "Jom Makan 1Malaysia", is an event which was jointly organised by the Ministry of Tourism, MCC, Pasar Malam Saberkas Committee and the Miri United Hawkers Association will be held at Pasar Malam Saberkas on 29th, December 2012 starting at 6.30pm.

Mr Hii who was the Organising Chairman expected that the event will be a main attraction to both local and foriegn visitors especially from neighbouring Brunei. Beside having a variety choice of deliciuos Malaysian foods sold here, Pasar Malam enthusiasts will also be enjoying life entertainments from the local artists.

The highligh of the event will be a donation presented by Mr Hii to various None Govermental Organizati (NGOs) and one of the recipients is Rumah Kebajikan Anak - Anak Yatim Hamidah.

Also listed in the event are karaoke singing comptition, cultural performances and the lucky draws which offered attractive prizes awaits for the lucky winners.

Meanwhile the Talent Singing Contest will be at Permy Mall commencing 30th till 31st December 2012 in conjuction with the new year countdown. The singing contest is jointly organized by RTM Miri, Kelab Penyiar RTM Miri, MCC, Miri Musical Society and Permy Mall.

Also attended the press conference were Cr Hjh Lela Mohamad, Cr Lawrence Kong, representatives from Miri United Hawkers Association and MCC senior officers.
