Senior Citizen's Singing Competition

12-01-2013--After  officiating the Chinese Classic Song Competition held at “The Old Man Street”, Persiaran Kabor, Mr Hii King Chiong took the opportunity to meet the general public, hawkers and shopkeepers at the area.

They exchanged greeting and wished for a better prosperity among the multiracial community who always patronizing the popular spot.

The Old Man Street is located in the centre of the well known Taman Jade  Manis and it is the popular area for the senior citizens who met here daily.

There also have coffeehouse serving variety of Chinese delights, hardware retailers, shoes stores and etc. To fulfill their time and while enjoying their cup of tea, the senior citizens organized indoor games. The daily organized Chinese Chess competition held here is the most attracting and the looser will have to settle their opponents food fees.

Mr Hii who is also Malaysian Hawkers Association Advisor was the main sponsor of the singing competition which was organized by The Old Man Street committee members.

The competition is only opened to all senior citizens and has attracted an overwhelming participation from the local talented senior “stars”.

The top and consolation winners later received attractive prizes.
