New Bridge New Hope

22.06.13-- "On behalf of the residents of Tudan Phase 5 and Desa Pujut Permyjaya, I wish to extend a warm appreciation to Mr. Hii King Chiong. Due to his hard works and commitment,  our dreams of having a new bridge now become a reality. This will shortened our journey and we are delightful with what have now",  expressed Lias Julaihi when accompanying local philanthropist, Mr Hii King Chiong at the construction site of the new Tudan 5 - Desa Pujut bridge this afternoon.

According to Lias, they had requested to the authorities concerned to built a larger bridge at the area but all their requests were not entertained accordingly. Now after almost 15 years of waiting in vain and with the instant response from Mr Hii, their dreams comes true.

" A few months ago we voice out our problem to Hii King Chiong Service Centre ( HKC SC ) and after a few days Mr. Hii came, he agreed to help us. Later, an earth breaking ceremony was held and phase one of the works starts immediately", disclosed Lias when asked to elaborate on HKC SC participation in the project.

On revealing HKC SC participation, Mr Hii said that the construction of the bailey bridge is a joint venture project between the Public Works Department （PWD）, Miri City Council （MCC）, Tudan 5 Village Committee and HKC SC.

Mr Hii said that HKC SC willingness in assisting the village is part of its mission in providing the best community service to the people, especially the unfortunate ones.

"I'm happy that i can help them and to see them happy. HKC SC only a small roles in this project, what we focus more is giving them the best community service and this is part of our responsibility", disclosed Mr Hii before proceeding to Kpg Merikan.

The new bridge is nearly 99% completed and only can be use by vehicles under three tonnes.

Mr Hii site's visit was given a warm welcome by the villagers and accompanying were a Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Cr Suzanne Lee Tze Ha, Cr Keith Chin, Cr Lawrance Kong, Pekida Miri Division Chairman, Sarbini Japar and the local media.
