Hii King Chiong Hopes To Work Together With Elected Representatives To Solve People’s Problems

17.06.2015--In view of the many problems of Miri people, United People’s Party (UPP) Piasau chairman and Majulah Miri founder Dato Hii King Chiong hoped to work together with elected representatives to solve people’s problems.

He also urged elected representatives to cooperate with one another instead of squabble pointlessly because there are too many livelihood issues needing the joint effort of all to solve.

“We must take care of the people and help solve their problems. We must provide service without borders.”

Hii said he has a special feeling for Krokop area because he once resided there and hence was very happy to be able to serve Krokop residents.

With regard to Jalan Jee Foh 8 and Jalan Krokop 4 drainage problems, he was of the opinion that the City Council should help solve problems in the housing areas after collecting more than 40 years of assessment rates from the residents.

He also reassured Krokop residents that he will do the best of his ability to help solve their problems.

Also present at the site inspection on the drainage system at Jalan Jee Foh 8 and Jalan Krokop 4 today were The Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) divisional engineer (Miri and Bintulu) Law Wee, councillor Bruce Chai, councillor Keith Chin, councillor Sim Poh Giap and others.
